Timber
Raised planters with bench

These long raised planters were designed to use up some redundant soil. They were constructed from landscaping sleepers and incorporate a central seat made from decking boards.
Raised timber deck
A raised deck / walkway along the back of this house was built using landscaping sleepers. The decking boards on top were then laid diagonally to give a feel of more space. Half round timber rails were used to construct a hand rail / barrier.
Private deck
A raised timber deck constructed around an existing shed at the bottom of the garden. Long wide steps were designed as a feature of this deck, with rope strung through upright posts.
Fencing panels have been erected along the back and side to create a more private area.
Step retainers and handrails
Landscaping sleepers have been used here to construct and retain these steps. Half round rails have then been nailed vertically to the outside of the sleepers, with more rails attached horizontally to the upright rails to form a barrier / hand rail.
Timber Pergola
This timber pergola was custom built off the wall of the house. Over time climbing plants will cover the majority of it, creating shade for the seating area beneath.
Timber frame trellis
This trellis structure was created and built on site using rustic round logs. Its purpose was to divide the garden into sections, creating a private area within the garden. It also helped to shield the view of these custom built compost bins:

Fencing
This fencing was created using off-cuts from a previously erected feather board fence.
With a little imagination, Revo used these off-cuts in conjunction with a small diamond shape trellis to create a unique fence. Planted at the base are a number of climbing roses which will eventually fill the central strip of trellis.
